wicd problem

I got Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945 wireless card and it works fine with BT 4 but i always have to wait around 15-30 minutes until (after a lot of icon clicking) wicd final starts and im able to connect to my wireless network.
Is there a way to let this programm start faster ?
(I got a Lenovo 3000 N200)

A lot of icon clicking makes it slower, allow a bit after startup so it finished a bit clearly :P

Try pressing Alt+F2 and typing wicd in the run dialog box. Then click the wicd icon. That seems to work for me. I've never figured out why this works but it does.

I've tested this, it seems that running wicd restarts it (my network connection went down when i did it)
Also, pressing ALT+F2 or writing directly to the text box in the task manager (or in the shell, although the text box is a faster shortcut) is the same thing.
