Changing Resolution changes font size as well
Hi guys ...
It doesn't matter how I change my screen resolution (xrandr or by tray app) the font of my console window always changes its fonts size.
If I change my resolution from 1024x768 to 1400x1050 the font-size gets so big ... although in the settings it still says Monospace Font-Size 10. It looks much bigger on the screen.
So, how do I fix this?
I am not visually impaired yet.

yea but you forgot to tell him about that error, for all the settings being erased..after this fix.

From what I have found, when the driver is set to VMWare then the initial resolution when X starts is configured to whatever the monitor settings are and then it will resize to whatever size your VMWare screen needs. For some reason, the plug & play monitor initially sets a very small resolution.
To correct, I went into the configure display properties, selected the VMWare driver, and selected a generic monitor size that approximated the size of my VMWare screen. Now X starts to this resolution and then the automatic resize is not so noticible.

sorry bout that - i was digging on this earlier trying to figure out the window enlargement when resizing in VMWare and thought that this thread was referring to the same problem!
Different issue for a different day!
