Yes, you can research what is vulnerable on that box and then use that exploit.
Magic I tell you.
This probably belongs in the newbie section too.
hey guys, i am new to BT, i have a home network at my home and i am the administrator of the network ( i am the computer geek in the family) so i have BT4 on my laptop and windows XP service pack 3 on the desktop and another vista box, so i made scan to my XP desktop and found ports 445/139 opened,so i want to use metasploit project to make test on these ports, so does anyone suggest an exploit and payload?
btw if the exploit works, can I use any payload?
p.s: what i am doing is 100% legal, so don't bother to ask![]()

Still not underestimating the power...
There is no such thing as bad information - There is truth in the data, so you sift it all, even the crap stuff.
aha i see so have you ever tried to exploit microsoft-ds ???
i will do my researches but do u know the name of any exploit???
Yes, and yes. Will I tell you? No. If you can't figure it out for yourself, I do not think you should have the information handed to you.
Yes everyone was a newbie at some point, yes I remember what that was like for me. I was stuck reading out of date .txt files and teaching myself C and ASM while I tried to do as much as I could. I expect no less from everyone else.

Yeah that's really convincing and we really believe you.
Leave that part out the next time it only makes you look unbelievable or 14 years old at best.
Why you are at it take a look at the metasploit project they have several good guides and information to help you along.
