    Default Networking Issues

I installed backtrack 4 onto my acer aspire one. When I run it live off the disc I get my wireless network card to work fine when I installed it, wireless doesn't work and even if I plug it into my router directly via ethernet it wont recognize anything any suggestions? I'm currently reinstalling it now perhaps that will help idk lol

    /etc/init.d/networking start
    services networking start
    services wicd start

    service wicd start
