    This is a very easy fix, all you need to do is to use your favourite text editor and to edit a line in /boot/grub/menu.lst. I personally use vim so I would be doing:
    Code:
    sudo vim /boot/grub/menu.lst
    I then search for the phrase bt4.xpm.gz:
    Code:
    /bt4.xpm.gz[enter]
    I get this far, but vim can't find that string...
    A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

    Thank you so much for these tweaks.

    The following output was generated when I ran the dragon menu icon script:

    Archive: /root/.kde3/share/icons/nuvoX_0.7/kmenu-dragon.zip
    extracting: /home/trefayne/.kde3/share/icons/nuvoX_0.7/128x128/apps/kmenu.png

    First thanks for this.

    Second after installing the kdm theme manager I was getting the error that it could not find the theme file.

    The fix was to to manually edit the kdmrc file and remove the quotations around the theme

    Code:

    nano /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc
    from
    Code:
    Theme="/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/themes/login-scan-fusion"
    to
    Code:
    Theme=/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/themes/login-scan-fusion
    where login-scan-fusion is the theme you want.

    EDIT: I also had some error with the foo.sh to install the dragon icon, though it still worked. Just reboot after running it. At least thats what I did.

    If anyone wants to restore the dragon/bt4 background for the grub menu - Here's what to put in menu.lst, just above the first menu entry:

    splashimage=/boot/grub/bt4.xpm.gz

    UPDATE: The kmenu dragon script is no longer needed for the latest bt4 release.
