    Default Airolib-ng on Core 2 Duo ?

    forgive me if this is a stupid question.

    My question is basically this.

    I have a Acer Centrino Core 2 Duo at 2Ghz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, 300GB HD.

    and i noticed that Airolib-ng runs at about 300 PMK's
    but since it is dual core why wont it run a 600 PMK's
    as both core's running as one on the batch process as this would be more efficient ?

    Ive tried running two airolib-ng's on the same database but i just get a read error ( i read on hear somewhere that this could be done, but it don't look like you can do this)

    Use pyrit (you don't actually need a GPU to use it) to dump out your airolib database, that way you know you're using the full CPU.

    That said, monitoring the CPU on my macbook (bad example, but it's the closest hardware I have to yours) I was only getting about 320k per second when the system was maxed out, using both CPU's and aircrack, so it seems like your airolib is actually using the full amount. Can you check your conky or other tool to verify the % of CPU (*cough* top *cough*) during an operation.
    Still not underestimating the power...

    There is no such thing as bad information - There is truth in the data, so you sift it all, even the crap stuff.

    conky states that my CPU is at 100% but i dont know if that would mean *Both" Core's ? more likly just the one core as i can browes the net and stuff with no lagg.

    ive considerd pyrit but am not sure on its use. as am used the old way. (airolib-ng, Aircrack-ng)

    You will need to set conky up to monitor (if it is not doing so), and report both cores.
    ~/.conkyrc

    Code:
    ${color cyan}CPU1 ${alignr}${cpu cpu1}%
    ${color blue}${cpubar cpu1 4}
    ${color cyan}CPU2 ${alignr}${cpu cpu2}%
    ${color blue}${cpubar cpu2 4}
    Sometimes cpu0 / cpu1 instead

    thanks for the info guys.

    How do i get pyrit running, coz that sounds much better than Airolib-ng if could get it running on *Both* cores at once that would be amazing !

    is the commands same as airolib-ng , with the "database name" --import essid/passwd ?
