The correct thing to do is wait till the repo is updated.
does bt4-pre final come with airecrack-ng 1.0 rc4 ?
if not then, i tried installing it cuz i was havin problems with the 42 of 30 error using wesside-ng
i did the command as follows:
it did its thing or whatever. Then i went to check dir /wireless/airecrack-ngCode:cd airecrack1.0 rc4 make make install
to see if it updated it, opend the file "version" and it still said rc3
so all i did was copied eveything in the rc4 folder and replaced everything in the airecrack-ng folder.
Was i supposed to do that or will this method work to update it ?
note: after doing the 1 step, i tried wesside-ng and still got the same error then i followed on to the next step. But i didnt restart at all..was i supposed to restart to update the changes or what..?
never the less im still geting the error tho. I already followed the patch tut on airecrack.ng web page and i still get the error.

sorry, but im not familir of what you're talking about.
So basically wesside-ng on bt4 pre-final is not working atm on some devices ? if so, ok ill wait.
But i still would like to know in detail, how to install/update Airecrack-ng so i wont be asking question for when the repo or whatever is out.
Cuz bt4-pre final is using rc3 if im not correct. And Rc4 is already out.
Please try to use correct English in your posts so every one can understand. We will have rc4 update available when its ready. If you have to have it right now then feel free to compile it your self however that may break future updates. This is not a basic linux help channel so you will need to research how to install a Linux program on your own.
you might have missed my first post, where i said I already re-searched how to install it (the comple commnds are there if you couldn't see them), but i haven't gotten any results from it. It still gives me errors.
Btw I always research before i go asking for help on forums. imo
But thanks for the.........................................help.
No I did not miss your first post. Clearly you do not have a firm grasp of how to compile from source. The commands are correct however then you go to the kde menu and try to launch aircrack-ng which is the location WE install it to and is not necessarily the location the source package installs it.
bump...has anybody else find a solution to this fix
Dude, I told you what the problem was.....
This is not a bug OR fix. I'm really trying to be nice here but I guess its not working. Oh well I give up.
I got three of 'em.
1 Re-read this entire thread, but don't just read it comprehend it.
2. Don't bump your thread especially the same day or when the answer has been given you.
3. google = how to compile from source
Guaranteed the first one two results will contain the right answer.
Which of course may not help you once you follow number 1 above.
To be successful here you should read all of the following.

krezz,
A skilled member told you what the problem is, please re-read and try to understand it. I tried to re-explain the answer but it is crystal clear.
Also, by bumping your thread you are not just asking for help but trying to twist our arm to help you.
So yeah, it is that time of the month to start wondering why everybody and their dog agree and you don't.
