Default USB Boot BT3 from Vista

I have a Dell XPS running Vista with 4GB of RAM and a 2.4GHz processor that I am having trouble booting BT3 from my 8GB USB stick. I have successfully booted BT3 on my desktop which runs XP but when I try to boot it from my laptop it loads and everything seems oki except it won't open the konsole shell without freezing and the windows cannot be moved with the mouse. I have done a search on the forums and elsewhere but cannot find a solution to this issue. Has anyone had any succcess booting BT3 from a USB stick on Vista?

Not quite sure I follow you on this one, but booting with a usb stick really has nothing to do with the installed OS. I have booted bt2-4-pre-final on a vista machine, and various others with no real problems that could not be sorted out with a bit of searching.
