Sharing Internet throught ethernet prot

Anyone know how to allow internet sharing thought the ethernet port? For example, my asus laptop has wifi where my desktop is too far from the router, so im looking to connect ethernet from my laptop to the desktop and them both share that wifi connection.

hi,

this is not windows, so we are talking about unix/linux where you are using traditonal routing, NAT and firewalling mechanism to achieve that!
This forum shouldn't be a replacement of generic ubuntu & linux fundamentals, therefore do your homework first and use google...
