BCM 4357 (rev1) chipset 43225

I received a HP Pavilion with wifi DV6 2153el Broadcomm 14e4: 4357 rev 1
the card is recognized as eth1.
However much they tried I could not put it into monitor mode.
I searched around with google, in forums, etc.(....maybe not support monitor mode??)
Is there anyone who managed to circumvent this problem and is kind enough to show me the right direction?

how did you try putting it into monitor mode?

Broadcom cards dont have much linux driver support, especially when it comes to monitor mode. get your self and alfa 36h. If you can get your broadcom to connect to the internet, be thankful at this point.

Broadcom released source code of their drivers and thsi will be available in linux kernels 2.6.37
