Default How to load programs on BT4 at startup?

I'm trying to add a program to load automatically when Backtrack 4 Pre-Final starts up. Every ubuntu tutorial I've read simply says: "Go to System > Preferences > Sessions" I've searched and searched and have yet to find such a place. Does it exist on Backtrack or am I going about this the wrong way?

Your going about it the wrong way. Use the command line.
That way you can get it right.
The startup programs are in /etc/init.d and linked to the runlevels in /etc/rc?.d
    Where ? is the run-level

The "KDE-way" is to place a *.desktop file in ~/.kde3/Autostart
and the "rc-way" is edit /etc/rc.local and append the program you want.

    Regards.

    I know. You are welcome.
The best part is doing it from the command line is irrespective of the front end and it works the same on most linux distros.
