Upon using BT4 in VMware, using fast track interactive, option 2 (autopwn) victim ip, then option 2 (reverse), my internet completely craps out. i can't browse any websites, they just display a problem loading. host is windows 7 64bit

Its hard to say without more detail. If you are scanning systems outside of your internal network and are using a router that uses NAT it may be overloading the NAT translation table. Are you scanning past a NAT enabled router?
What does a packet capture tell you?

When this problem happens:
Can you resolve DNS?
Can you ping or traceroute?
