Hello, I am new here and so far have found plenty of useful information. But I have a question about dictionary/bruteforce attacks.

I understand how it works, but what if I have a good password with alfa-num/cap combination and the word is not in the list.. does that mean that such a large wordlist would be useless?

If so, are there tools that automatically combine different letters and numbers (alfa-num-cap) until the right word has been combined?

Yes its acdc's dictionary. Just FYI its all less than 8 chars so this list is useless for wpa before anyone wastes time downloading it. In all honesty its not even a dictionary list, its a bruteforce list which is why it so big.

To the OP please post in the correct section from no on.

Why does a new member post a dictionary download as his first post?

Looks like his caps lock key is stuck, as well as needing glasses... maybe we should take some donations to help him out....
In all large corporations, there is a pervasive fear that someone, somewhere is having fun with a computer on company time. Networks help alleviate that fear.

Can't even imagine what an utterly pointless waste of bandwidht this must have caused.

Search for the thread titled "thread to share word lists" there are several already posted there as well.
