Metasploit problem with getting a tutorial to work

i set up evrething as it says in backtrack.
(my orginal windows xp computer running backtrack 4 pre final in vmware)

and when i send my exe to my other computer (also windows xp), and click on it, it doesnt provide me with a shell for some reason, however when i send it back to my original computer and click on the exe, i get shell.

Question would be: why does it only work when i click the meterpreter exe from my own computer and not on other computers? Is there something im missing? Is there a problem with my ip? If you got any idea, would be very thankfull for a reply.

its also the same problem with the internet explorer and firefox metasploit servers, they only work in my own computer.
