I am introducing myself to Wireless cracking but getting an error I don't understand.

airmon-ng stop “wlan0″.
ifconfig “wlan0″ down
macchanger –mac 00:11:22:33:44:55 wlan0

Springs an error: Set device: no such device.

Any information I could find on this error is several years old.

any help?
