for some reson, it's not showing the BT conky...only the normal .conf file that comes with conky. Do I have to change something to get it to show?

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe its not as simple as entering
"apt-get update && apt-get install conky-backtrack" into a new shell?
1. You are not using backtrack 4 final since we have not released it yet.
2. You have ubuntu repos in your source list which either means you are still using the beta (In which case you should upgrade to pre-final) or you have added extra sources to you apt-get sources list which we do not support.
3. This is what you apt-get update should look like..
root@bt:~# apt-get update

4. If you would learn to use your noodle then you would have used apt-cache search or aptitude search to see whats available.
root@bt:~# aptitude search conky
i A conky - highly configurable system monitor for X based on torsmo
i A conky-backtrack - Backtrack version of a lightweight system monitor
root@bt:~#
5. If you have met all the above conditions then it would easily install like this:
root@bt:~# apt-get install conky-backtrack
