    Default no wlan0 on macbook

running 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo macbook pro.
installed bt4 to its own partition.
    booting shows a 'modprobe error'.
but i still get the login prompt.
I can become root and on typing ifconfig -all
I find the eth0 interface but not the wireless card (no wlan0)

is this a ubuntu shortcoming? is there a driver i need to get?

It's a Mac being a terrible machine to run backtrack issue. You might get some direction from here.
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
