    Default USB and audio problems

    Hi guys. I've installed BT4 and I've two problems:
    1) The OS don't recognize my USB key. Why?
    2) I don't listen any type of sound. This is not a problem of my harware i think, because on windows xp they usually work.
    I hope that you can help me. Thanks.

    P.s: Sorry for my bad english, but I'm italian :P

    Well what about your thread in Italian did you not get an answer there ?
    Since it may be your better language it might be best to seek more help there.
    Any rate there are threads here (at least in English) the describe how to mediate the sound problem. You will just need to search a bit for them.
    As for the usb problem, can you provide more details?
    Maybe plug the key in wait a few seconds then type lsusb at the command prompt and look for the key to be listed there.
    If that fails you then you might try posting that info here in this thread.

    I resolved for the audio problem, was only a problem of user privileges.
    For the usb, she is recognized when I type lsusb on command line. But i don't have any idea to access to her.
    No referements appears, never on the desktop.
    Sorry, but it's the first time that i use backtrack and I don't know so much of it.

    Try mounting the device first.
    # man mount

    Thank you, i resolved mounting the usb device.

    I'm using BackTack for learn something about it and its software, nothing more.
