I can't seem to get any sound working on BT4 PF (it used to work fine on the beta). I have a creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Series card and to install the drivers I first do a:
lspci -v
and look at the the device number (in this case 0043) so i download the driver code from the creative site and in the ctdrv.h file, change the PCI_SUBSYS_CREATIVE_SB0880 macro to 0x0043, and then issue:Code:03:00.0 Audio device: Creative Labs X-Fi Titanium series [EMU20k2] (rev 03) Subsystem: Creative Labs Device 0043 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 18 Memory at fe7f0000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K] Memory at fe400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M] Memory at f8000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64M] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: CTALSA Kernel modules: ctxfi 01:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc HD48x0 audio Subsystem: ATI Technologies Inc HD48x0 audio Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17 Memory at f7efc000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel
This method works perfectly on Ubuntu (8.04, 8.10, 9.04) and Linux Mint (7) system and I remember it working on BT4 Beta. But on the PF im not getting anything. When I open KMix it won't let me chose from ANY mixers, not even the mobo one for which I had never had to install any drivers for. Any help is appreciated thanks.Code:make sudo make install
