    Default Installing spoonwep2 and spoonwpa on BackTrack 4 pre final

    Boot backtrack beta 4

    Download spoonwep2 and spoonwpa

    then extract to the usb key (for me => / mnt/sdc1) :

    Code:
     cd /root/Desktop
    mkdir /mnt/sdc1/{spoonwep2,spoonwpa}
    wget hxxp://shamanvirtuel.googlepages.com/SWPA.lzm
    wget hxxp://neovortex.kodings.googlepages.com/spoonwep2.lzm
    lzm2dir SWPA.lzm /mnt/sdc1/spoonwpa
    lzm2dir spoonwep2.lzm /mnt/sdc1/spoonwep2
    Now on boot BackTrack 4 (Pre) Final will say that you have already installed hard
    after mounting the key (always / mnt/sdc1 for me) :

    Code:
    cp -rpv /mnt/sdc1/spoonwpa/usr /
    cp -rpv /mnt/sdc1/spoowep2/usr /
    it creates two files so that spoonwep and detecte spoonwpa interfaces

    spoowep for:

    Code:
     echo "
    #!/bin/bash
    chmod 777 /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/
    rm /bin/sh
    ln -s /bin/bash /bin/sh
    spoonwep
    sleep 1
    while ! [ -e /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/spoonwep/tmp/wscapture-01.csv ]
    do
    sleep 1;
    done
    ln -s /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/spoonwep/tmp/wscapture-01.csv /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/spoonwep/tmp/wscapture-01.txt 2>/dev/null
    rm /bin/sh
    ln -s /bin/dash /bin/sh " >/usr/bin/spoonwep.sh
    spoonwpa for :

    Code:
     echo "
    #!/bin/bash
    chmod 777  /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/
    rm /bin/sh
    ln -s /bin/bash /bin/sh
    spoonwpa
    sleep 1
    while ! [ -e /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/spoonwpa/tmp/wscapture-01.csv ]
    do
    sleep 1;
    done
    ln -s /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/spoonwpa/tmp/wscapture-01.csv /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder/spoonwpa/tmp/wscapture-01.txt 2>/dev/null
    rm /bin/sh
    ln -s /bin/dash /bin/sh " >/usr/bin/spoonwpa.sh
    it makes them executable:

    Code:
     chmod 755 /usr/bin/{spoonwep.sh,spoonwpa.sh}
    To have them in the BackTrack menu just to change up the desktop file and edit the command:

    Code:
    mv /usr/local/share/applications/spoonw* /usr/share/applications/
    Opens on spoonwep.desktop nano kate or kwrite to choose and change the line Exec giving:

    Code:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Comment=
    Exec=spoonwep.sh
    GenericName=
    Icon=cache
    Name=SpoonWep2
    Path=
    StartupNotify=true
    Terminal=0
    TerminalOptions=
    Type=Application
    X-KDE-SubstituteUID=false
    X-KDE-Username=
    Categories=BT-Radio-Network-Analysis-80211-Cracking
    ditto for spoonwpa giving:

    Code:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Comment=
    Exec=spoonwpa.sh
    GenericName=
    Icon=cache
    Name=SpoonWpa
    Path=
    StartupNotify=true
    Terminal=0
    TerminalOptions=
    Type=Application
    X-KDE-SubstituteUID=false
    X-KDE-Username=
    Categories=BT-Radio-Network-Analysis-80211-Cracking
    keep up to date on the menu:

    Code:
     update-menus
    Now spoonwep and spoonwpa works

    a thanks for 0dlan for his post (hxxp://forums.remote-exploit.org/latest-public-release-backtrack4-beta/21902-fix-spoonwep2-swpa-4.html)
    that help me so much

    I've added chmod 777 /usr/local/bin/wifispoonfeeder in his script otherwise they don't scan AP

    lzm2dir is not present in BT4 Pre-final

    so I think the tuto is uncomplete ;-)

    Wink

    The URLs for the direct download of spoonwep2 and spoonwpa are in the tutorial (wget hxxp://...) - copy the link, change the xx to tt (cant post URLs here - have the same problem ).. and you can download the .lzm files.

    unsquashfs can be run from command line. I just realized it is also available in bt4 prefinal

    use it this way:
    Code:
    unsqashfs -d /your/dir/ spoonwep2.lzm
    the same for spoonwpa.lzm.

    One question: it doesn't find my Access Point (and no other one) - am I doing sth wong?

    When i tried using the unsquashfs command, I keep getting an error saying "Can't find a SQUASHFS superblock on SWPA.lzm" I'm using backtrack 4 prefinal as a persistent live cd. Does it have something to do with the casper partition being formatted as ext3? Any help would be appreciated.

    i got it uncompressed by using unsquashfs for windows and then going back into backtrack and doing the other stuff. I got spoonwep and spoonwpa installed on my backtrack and it's working fine now. Still couldn't figure out why I was getting that superblock error when using unsquashfs in linux.

    Thanks, worked like a charm. I used BT3 to unsquash the files, and then followed your guide.
