Atheros AR9285 – 802.11b/IEEE

Hi,
I recently purchased the Toshiba Mini NB200 with the wireless card: Atheros AR9285 – 802.11b/IEEE and my Wicd Manager cannot find any wireless internet spot. I tried:

sudo /etc/init.d/wicd start
sudo ifconfig wlan0 up
I've tried using the setting madwifi and wext, and still nothing.

I've tried airomoin-ng and airodump-ng mon0, which after an hour of working gave no results.

When I type ifconfig now, I get lo, eth0, wlan, wmaster0 and mon0 as the adapters. Can anyone help me please?
