    Question Broadcom (BCM5755M)

I haven't found anything on this card. Is it safe to assume that 'monitor' mode is not supported?

    lspci shows -
Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5755M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02)

    iwconfig shows -
    IEEE 802.11bg ESID: "" Nickname: ""
    Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
    Bit Rate: 54 Mb/s Tx-Powerff
Retry min limit: 7 RTS thr: off Fragment thr: off
    Power Managementmode: All packets received
Link Quality=5/5 Signal level=0 dBm Noise level=0 dBm

type airmon-ng start wlan0 if it says monitor mode enabled then its supported if not you may need patched drivers if they exist for your card

    I'm guessing I need a different card?

    Code:
    root@laptop:~# airmon-ng start eth1
Found 2 processes that could cause trouble.
If airodump-ng, aireplay-ng or airtun-ng stops working after
a short period of time, you may want to kill (some of) them!
