I am new here thank you in advance for your help... still a bit of a noob.
When running the "sudo apt-get install envyng-qt" everything went fine during the install. The only issue I am having is that when I select the recommended driver and check enable, I get the following error.

EnvyNG has detected that headers for your kernel are missing and cannot be installed.
This is a fresh HDD install, kernel: 2.6.29.4

Here is how to fix this although envy sucks a$$. We have our own nvidia drivers but they are built for the newest kernel 2.6.30.9
cd /usr/src/linux
make bzImage
Let that run for a few minutes and then hit ctl-c to stop it. That should build the stuff you need.
The reason i was trying this is because I have spent days googling and scouring the internet, trying to get this to work with the backtrack-nvidia drivers. I saw this guys post and had to try it.
I did what you recommended and I am still having the same issue.
All in all, should I move to the 2.6.30.9 kernel?
Yes I built the Nvidia-Driver package for the newest kernel in our repo which is 2.6.30.9

for those who still have problem installing the Nvidia drivers here's how i got it done :
make sure you have the latest 2.6.30.9 kernel,
1 )then, download the latest version : http: //www .nvidia. com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
2 ) move the file to a new folder (ex: /usr/src/drivers/nvidia)
3 ) then close your startx or reboot
4 ) (without loading startx) go in your folder typing : cd /usr/src/drivers/nvidia)
5 ) install using : sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.53-pkg1.run
done !
Best and most reliable way to install the desired driver using sh NVIDIA ..... Before Startx is
