Change Screen Resolution in KDE breaks xorg.conf
Whenever changing Screen Resolution via KDE System Settings or Krandr xorg.conf is broken. X can't start after reboot til xorg.conf is resettet.
Backtrack is installed on VMware and VMware Tools are correct installed.
Is it a bug or am i something missing ?
Setting up xorg.conf by handworks fine.

Good friend of the forums
don't change the resolution there???? YOu got vmware tools installed, use the menu - resize window, then choose "Fit Guest" or something like that from vmware menu. I don't use vmware... recommend you virtualbox, it's free and opensource.

thx for the tipp, i didn't used this one before.
I'd like to have a permanent resolution change. And i'm able to do this by editing xorg.conf manual.
I'd just wanted to point out there seems to be a bug when doing this with kde tools ...
