wicd is the new network manager.
Should be in the menu under networking.
Yes you can still do
/etc/init.d/networking start
or services networking start in the command line.

I'm having trouble starting it.

Thats what i get?

so i run wicd-client

the window pops up but nothing found.

I'm using AAO. I got the beta working but now...

you can set wicd to startup

> sudo update-rc.d wicd defaults

[imported_ZEROF]

You need to use search before posting :

/etc/init.d/wicd start

After that go to Menu>Internet and click on WiCD manager to choose your network.

Yeah thanks guys. it ended up just being the dam wirrless switch :-/

The led don't work but the switch dose, and it was off
