creating /dev entries for block devices ??

Hello

I'm running BT3 on my 2gb usb and it works fine, well until last nite

Everytime i boot it up it keeps crashing @

> creating /dev entries for block devices

and just sits there idle.

So i re-installed BT3 back onto the USB and booted it up, and it done the exact same, odd i though.

So i brought out my live cd and bunged it in the drive and yep it halts/crashes at the same point. now I'm confused.

I suppose it could be a hardware issue.

Though any views, suggestions on why this is happening?

my laptop it a compaq nc6220 on Windows 7 Ulitimate Eval

Did the live CD work at any point?

I dont think that is an issue the, CD has been burned correctly and verified

Its' odd that both cd and usb drive are halting at the same point.

I don't have another machine to try on with me

Also done a search on google but i seems no one has the ever has the same problem.

I've reset the bios to see if that make any difference but no change.
