I have same laptop and the problem is not with the laptop ......its due to Broadcom network card and its driver......I have purchase one Atheros card and everything is working fine...i can use Aerodump,aircrack, etc..

So far this is what I have test to be working just fine.
Not working so well is the 4965AGN, if I start wicd I can browse the net and download updates just fine. Airodump works but that is it, no association nor injection working. I have already done the compact wireless install a few different was (seems like a hundred different ways), but without luck. Other than that, everything else works fine with the Dell Inspiron 1525.

You have a 4965AGB, I have a 4965AGN. Two different cards, but both intel.
