Gentlemen,

Just in case any of u wish to install Dropbox without all those heavy gnome dependencies, just do this:

Download your flavour .tar.gz from the Dropbox page

Extract it so as to create a .dropbox-dist folder and move it to /root

Run the daemon: /root/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd

(First time run, it will ask u for your account and target folder). Your panel will show the icon now.

In order to load the daemon at startup just create a symlink:

cd /root/.kde3/Autostart
ln -s /root/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd dropbox
