Hey guys, don't know if it's me or not, but on the boot option screen the highlight is black. With a black background it's kinda hard knowing which option is highlighted.

Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
i found that as well.
Same for me
We are working on that.
same thing for me too.
just comment in the /boot/grub/menu.lst the 'splashimage' entry..
to change colors use the 'color' entry(see grubs FAQ, Docs, man, wtw)
As pureh@te mentioned, we are working on it and should have an update soon.

It's not hard to manipulate the GRUB file for yourself. Here's what i did, it just won't show the backtrack bootsplash, but it'll do until pureh@te and others are finished.
-First find the file by opening the bt4.iso with something like UltraISO.
-Navigate to /boot/grub/menu.lst and open file
-Comment out the "splashimage...." at the top by putting a '#' infront of it
-Add color options like below
-Now save the file to a new location, wherever you want, just keep the file name so it overwrites existing menu.lstCode:#splashimage=/boot/grub/bt4.xpm.gz color green/black black/light-gray
-Move the new file to the iso by dragging to UltraISO (with that folder open) and when prompted select "yes" to overwrite the old one.
-Save iso by file->save, and enjoy
Hope this helps anyone that doesn't feel like waiting.
p.s- my first post so sry if i'm in the wrong spot for this, still navigating your amazing site... props to all who are behind it
