decrypting SecurFlash
So at my work we are required to use a program to encrypt our thumb drives, called SecurFlash (sometimes called encryptx).
But it stinks and corrupts my data as often as it encrypts it. So I was thinking I might be able to use aespipe to encrypt/decrypt it and still have it work with this program at work.
I use a password shorter than 20 characters so I guess it uses some form of hash on my password (maybe sha1).
according to their data sheets "powerful encryption algorithms AES 256 and SHA 512 encryption."
Has anyone done this kinda thing before? Do you think it's possible to make this work, or am I wasting my time?

Good friend of the forums
just use truecrypt. It's free and it just works. If you can and if the policy allows, of course.

As much as I love truecrypt I can't use it for 2 reasons.
First policy doesn't permit.
Second, since it mounts the file, it requires admin rights which I don't have if I'm in a conference room.
