Use manual pppd (search the net) and make sure you have debug set (this will make sense once you find information on linux pppd).
Also, you're not going to see any other interface other than ppp0 or similar (once the cnenction has been established).
Hey guys,
I have an HP EliteBook 6930p (Laptop). I am trying to get my mobile broadband working. It is an inbuild device, so I am not using a USB or PCMCIA Card. I can't find any module using "ifconfig" or "iwconfig". Using "lspci" I get the following output:I've searched the net for this issue but as I don't have any connection to the internet to use synaptic. How can I get the module working? From then on using KPPP or wvdial is quite easy.Code:#bt4@root:lsusb -s 001:003 -v Bus 001 Device 003: ID 03f0:201d Hewlett-Packard Device Descriptor: bLength 18 bDescriptorType 1 bcdUSB 2.00 bDeviceClass 0 (Defined at Interface level) bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize0 64 idVendor 0x03f0 Hewlett-Packard idProduct 0x201d bcdDevice 0.01 iManufacturer 2 HP un2400 Mobile Broadband Module iProduct 1 HP un2400 Mobile Broadband Module iSerial 0 bNumConfigurations 1 Configuration Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 2 wTotalLength 41 bNumInterfaces 1 bConfigurationValue 1 iConfiguration 0 bmAttributes 0xe0 Self Powered Remote Wakeup MaxPower 500mA Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 0 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 0 bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bInterfaceSubClass 255 Vendor Specific Subclass bInterfaceProtocol 255 Vendor Specific Protocol iInterface 0 Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 0 bAlternateSetting 1 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bInterfaceSubClass 255 Vendor Specific Subclass bInterfaceProtocol 255 Vendor Specific Protocol iInterface 0 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x81 EP 1 IN bmAttributes 2 Transfer Type Bulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x01 EP 1 OUT bmAttributes 2 Transfer Type Bulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0200 1x 512 bytes bInterval 32 Device Qualifier (for other device speed): bLength 10 bDescriptorType 6 bcdUSB 2.00 bDeviceClass 0 (Defined at Interface level) bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize0 64 bNumConfigurations 1 Device Status: 0x0001 Self Powered

dd if=/dev/swc666 of=/dev/wyze
Thanks for your reply, you are right that I would not be able to find any interface unless I am not connected to the Internet.
But the issue is that the driver does not seem to be installed. I can not find any modems! I used a lot of howtos but non of them worked for me
So if any of you guys could give me some advice on how to get my modem to work, I would be very happy.
Thanks
Hey guys,
I tried Ubuntu again, and it detecs my card right away... Is there a possibility to get the configuration from there?
Anything else woud be helpful, too...
