Networking GUI
I am pretty new to linux and I hope that in the future release that you put in a networking control GUI kinda like the one on the original ubuntu. something that runs /etc/init.d/networking start and allows configuring of each network device and IP so I don't have to /etc/network/interfaces everytime I want to run live boot. I know its pretty noob way of doing things but sometimes I don't have my persistent changes drive with me. It would be nice to have as an option and fast way to setup networking within the GUI.
The tool you're requesting is already available in BT4 beta. It's called knetworkmanager and is autostarted with your KDE session. Watch out for a gray globe icon in your ksystray. To make it usable you just need to run
after a few seconds the globe icon will turn green and you're ready to go.Code:# /etc/init.d/NetworkManager start
