Hi all, i am trying to run VMware-Workstation-6.5.2-156735.i386.bundle on my modified Backtrack 3 (2.6.28.1 kernel) on my old Sempron processor pc. Installation was successful, but have some problems with running vmware. I have found some missing *.tgz, but finally i have trouble with last one. The shell gives me following:
bt Desktop # vmware
/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-modconfig: error while loading shared libraries: libgio-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Long Google research didn't solve this, i did find another errors with libgio (solved by unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH) but no error like mine,so asking if somebody know where to find missing libgio-2.0.so.0 or what can help in this case would be very glad. Mae by whole procedure i am doing is not best way to install VMware , but i am only a little step missing so someone open my eyes please... I did try some libraries converted to tgz package from: hxxp://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libgio-2.0.so.0
but not helped me. Guessing i am not skill enough to choose the right one.
If some additional info is needed i will post them.
Thanks for reply.
