Qosmio X305 Compatability

I just downloaded the USB version of BT3 and when I run it, the GUI's (both KDE and Flux) go through their loading processes and then turn up a black screen with a randomly flashing pointer as a big X.

I know for a fact that BT3 works on my computer due to multiple reviews I have read written by people with the same comp. So I don't understand what the problem could be.

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
