    Default eeepc kernel install: linux-eeepc

I am working with an eeepc 900.

Is it recommend or necessary to install the EeePC kernel from when using backtrack 4? Has anyone accomplished this?
    Using this howto
The EeePC seems to be running a bit warm. I have tried installing linux-eeepc but cannot get the linux-image-eeepc to install.

    any suggestions are welcome.

i think you shouldn't install another kernel, because you will loose the modified drivers (eg. for WLAN injection)
