He was also the one who posted a thread about Shodan on the old forums. I'm now watching the video of theprez98 @ shmoocon, seems promising!

This was mentioned by Pureh@te before, however I don't have the actual quote but a paraphrase (from memory) about adding extensions and add-ons to firefox.There are hundreds of them, and they have a tendency to slow down firefox. As such the Dev's try to strike a balance on adding extensions and having a quick, and responsive browser. So this extension may not get added.
But really they are quite easy to add so this really shouldn't be a problem for anyone who knows what shodan.

Maybe we should make a "Tools that aren't added, but useful" section. Make is locked from us normal users, so it doesn't get clogged up with dups and whatnot.

Only mods can add stuff to it. Like this thread, Shodan is a cool addon, but it's probably not going to get added to the iso, so it gets linked in the "Cool to have, but not in the distro" section.


Make it like the Announcements section.

Yea I understand that, but I think it'd be nice to have a place that mentions cool apps that aren't in the distro.
