KDE4 by default is still not stable enough... when it reaches 4.3 or 4.5, well, then, probably. It's too young still.
just install it this morning so checking the stability![]()
I upgraded to kubuntu 9.04 and installed kde-4.2.3, at first i got some issues with the wireless card but know everything is working just fine.
Upgrading from the Ubuntu repo's will overwrite the kernel, which will make you lose all the patches the BT devs have put in.
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
I know this forum is for Backtrack/Linux only; however, I could not help but mention my disgust with kde-4.2.3 on BSD/Unix, my Sony Vaio felt like I was running Windows Vista/slow and sluggish, so I removed it.
Good luck with that on Backtrack.
Explain how you are running the Ubuntu repos on BT4? I am interested in how you did that. Or am I not understand you correct?
Ubuntu 9.04 is great. I have had no problems with it. Kubuntu....... well I don't like KDE4 very much. Its all show.
