try new 3,01 driver, they always worked for me
wget http://homepages.tu-darmstadt.de/~p_...-3.0.1.tar.bz2
tar -xjf rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.1.tar.bz2
cd rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.1/Module
make
make install
modprobe rt73
Hi I have just bought a linskys WUSB54GC wireless adapter I was`advised (by a freind and this site) that this would be upto running all of the features of BT3 provided I install the rt73 drivers.
A problem has come up in that when I attempt to build the driver :
I get a message saying: /lib/modules/2.6.21.5/build does not exist. I used the file browser program to navigate to /2.6.21.5 and sure enough it says build appears to no longer exist (does display a file type icon with a padlock on top though).Code:bt ~ # cd rt73-k2wrlz-2.01/Module bt Module # make
I tried to create such a directory but no joy. After this I searched this forum for help and found a post advising me to locate something called kernel.lzm. I navigated to "/" and ran a search:
this returned no results. I have done a HD installation but I've tried this on the live cd aswell with no luck.Code:bt / # find / -name kernel.lzm
can someone help pls
thx
PS
I seem to be missing something is it possible I have a bad copy of BT3?

Downloaded that but same thing again. Made a directory called build in the right location but now when i try make I get a message saying:
Code:make[1]: Entering directory '/lib/modules/2.6.21.5/build' make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'modules'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory '/lib/modules/2.6.21.5/build' rt73.ko failed to build! make: *** [module] Error 1
Hi, everybody!
I have the same problem with Linksys wusb54gc!
With all versions of drivers even with 3.0.3(tried all previous versions from 2.0.0).
After searching the forum, I followed an advice to install kernel sources(lzm2dir / kernel.lzm) and then got this error after make command in Module directory:
bt Module # make
/bin/sh: line 0: [: -lt: unary operator expected
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.21.5'
make: Entering an unknown directory
make: *** empty variable name. Stop.
make: Leaving an unknown directory
make[1]: *** [_module_/tmp/rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.1/Module] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.21.5'
rt73.ko failed to build!
make: *** [module] Error 1
What is the problem?
Best Regards
A
Can anybody give a suggestion according to explained situation??
Thx
try this, this is a new lib.lzm module that goes into your "bt3/base" directory.
it includes the 3.01 rt73 driver, (insted of 3.00 thats comes with bt3)
I know that thers newer ones but this one works the best I think.
works perfect with spoonwe2 and airoscript.sh
a couple o mirrors

Thanks for an advice micked!
I've downloaded a module you've kindly provided and tried to install lib.lzm and got this output:
bt / # lzm2dir lib.lzm /
write_file: failed to create file //lib/ld-2.5.so, because Text file busy
Where could be the rub??![]()
this is a base module, you can´t lzm2dir it, you have to ad this to your iso (and remove the old lib.lzm from the iso)
1. ad this module to the image (iso) and make a fresh install to your hdd or
2. ad this module to the image (iso) and run it as a live cd.
/m
Thank you very muts MR Micked it works fine for me now.
