    Default 4695agn

I know.....Ive already wrote how this set works in this thread

    forums.remote-exploit.org/showthread.php?t=20119

    But injection DOESNT work.

That means you can crack WEO only if yourr target is connected an no clientless attack.

Also airmon-ng DOESNT recognize chipset - only device.

Same situation as always, aireplay-ng -test says injection is working. But it has problems associating with the AP. Also, did you networkmanager work right out the box?

Are you guys using wpa_supplicant to fake auth not aireplay-ng, if not you should be

    from hxxp://aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=iwlagn
Fake auth doesn't work but there's a workaround: using wpa_supplicant. Deauth seems to be buggy
I have not had any problems with injection at all but have updated the driver and firmware anyway and everything seems a little more stable now.
This is what I did, if you still having problems this should solve it

    Download the necessary files
    Code:
    wget hxxp://intellinuxwireless.org/iwlwifi/downloads/iwlwifi-4965-ucode-228.57.2.23.tgz
    wget hxxp://wireless.kernel.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6/compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2
    Deal with the firmware
    Code:
    tar zxvf iwlwifi-4965-ucode-228.57.2.21.tgz
    cd iwlwifi-4965-ucode-228.57.2.21
    cp iwlwifi-4965-ucode-228.57.2.21/* /lib/firmware/
    Deal with the driver
    Code:
    tar xjvf compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2
    cd compat-wireless*
Get the necessary patch and patch away (there is another but was not needed)
    Code:
    wget mac hxxp://patches.aircrack-ng.org/mac80211_2.6.28-rc4-wl_frag+ack_v3.patch
    patch -p1 < mac80211_2.6.28-rc4-wl_frag+ack_v3.patch
    build the modules
    Code:
    make
    make install
    make unload
    echo "options iwlagn swcrypto=1" >> /etc/modprobe.d/options
    make load
    and reboot to be sure

Network manager works just fine if you follow the instructions.

Can you help me out please...

After this step of putting in "sudo patch -p1 < mac80211_2.6.28-rc4-wl_frag+ack_v3.patch"
It ask me for "File to patch:" What do I type??
    This is what I get....
    l33tstyle@Home:~$ sudo patch -p1 < mac80211_2.6.28-rc4-wl_frag+ack_v3.patch
can't find file to patch at input line 5
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?

I would like to know if people using airmon-ng get:

    Interface Chipset Driver
    wlan0 Unknown iwl4965 - [phy0]

    or

    Interface Chipset Driver
    wlan0 Intel 4965agn iwl4965 - [phy0]

I get Chipset Unknown and injection doesn't work. I'm in the process of getting the chipset to reconize and then see if that is the problem. This Chipset unknown shows both on BT4 and Ubuntu Intrepid

My chipset isn't recognized but injection works fine.

bbandit are you running 'out of the box' or with different drivers/firmware?
