Backtrack 3 usb black screen
I boot bt3 usb and the boot up screen comes up but then it turns black so i keep pressing ctrl alt numplus then it comes up with the login screen so i login root and password toor then xconf and startx then it says this ( i shortened the output in this bit)
x set: bad font path element (#62), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions.
Directory missing fonts.dir
Inconrrect font server address or syntax
Startxkde: Starting up...
kded: ERROR : kunique: Registering failed!
Then it shuts down.
Please help :/

I can still use most of the commands from the shell but they don't always seem to work the way they should...
If anyone could help us get to the KDE interface it would be greatly appreciated!

I run BT 3 final CD
same trouble, just a black screen and pointer.
when start in kdm ( standard boot) it does not even reach anything just black screen.
so i press tab, and boot in kde.
'root', 'toor', 'startx' and then nothing change, no desktop, just the same screen.
I can enter some command, like 'airmon-ng' but nothing happens, except 'reboot'.
