    Default BT4 on eeepc 1000he

    Hello,

I am running backtrack 4 from usb stick (after bt3 didn't work), i am having trouble using kNetManager, i started networking and network manager before startx, the globe goes green, but i don't get any options, all i can do is add connections manually, i added an Ethernet connection and that works, but how do i get it do show me wireless connections?

I tried looking around the forum for answers, but didnt find an answer for my problem...

    Thanks.

    /etc/init.d/networking "will start eth0 (ethernet)"
    /etc/init.d/NetworkManager "will start the manager"
you need to search harder next time, yeah, its all here,,
I would rather be hated for what i am,
Then loved for what i am not.

you probably did not load the driver.

    # modprobe ath9k
    # NetworkManager start

    try that.
