HELP NEEDED installing Open Office on BT4

Hello all,
I am new here - so - Hello...
I installed BT4 on usb and modified the usb so it can save changes.
every thing works fine.
i tried to install open office but when it starts installing it stuck and do nothing until i cancel and close it.

PLS help...

aptitude is something you guys should learn using. apt-get is nice, old, deprecated... well, not deprecated, but once you get the hang of aptitude, you will never get back to apt-get. Just my 2 cents

And... if for some reason you're using BT3 and not bt4, try running the installer from the command line, to see where exactly it errors out and try to fix the problem.

this might seem like a dumb question, but what size usb drive are you using? Aren't the persistent changes saved onto the usb drive? Perhaps there's no more space on the drive?

Reason this comes to mind is because I ran apt-get update on my bt4b setup off my 2 gig flash drive and i barely got anywhere because the drive ran out of space.
