4965 Injection + Monitoring
Hey I'm having some issues and needed some advice.
I'm running kernel 184.108.40.206 with an intel 4965 AGN wifi card.
I've patched drivers and managed to get the card in monitor mode and I
can inject (aireplay -9 returns good)
In an environment where there exists an associated client to an ap I use
aireplay -3 -b accesspoint -h associatedclient DEV
to start packet injection. Airodump shows that the client is sending huge amounts of
packets but the Data field under the access point doesn't increase and the number of captured ARP packets from the injection doesn't change. I've had it working
on previous occasions so I doubt distance etc is an issue.
modprobe -l iwl* returns
I'm not sure what other details you would need. Thanks in advance.
You doubt distance is an issue?
How far away is your other computer?
About 2 meters away. I think when I had it working the last time it was with
older drivers but I can't quite remember which ones.
I wonder how much success other people have had with Intel 4965 and
newer drivers. On a newer kernel version and the new drivers my card
would just freeze completely.
I'll give it another shot though.
o succes with bt3
bt4 doesnt recognize the chipset but lets me monitor even though i cant connect to any wireless nets
4965 agn still working on it
I had same problem as rounder24 everything is working fine but when i use the aireplay -3 attack it keeps on reading packets but 0 arps and 0 acks
i think when i am doing the fakeauth attack the injection drops i don't know why but it drops by using the airodump-ng -9 test it gives 0 after doing the fakeauth!!!!
It's beneficial to have some traffic on the network that you are doing the aireplay -3 attack on (such as watching a video or browsing).
You should be able to monitor and inject using a 4965 AGN - do a search for ochlocracy's 4965/fakeit.sh thread.
