You can use Angry IP scanner. It will scan for IP addresses, ports,...., also - Nmap, Ping, Nessus......
However you have to be connected to the network.
Sometimes Kismet can pick up routers IP address.
Hi all,
i have Linksys AP Wap 54G, with WEP
i have crack my AP and get key, but how i can find Ip adress of my AP if DHCP is off, and i have Static IP /192.168.1.0/. I know my ip but if i dont have this how i can find it.
thx eF
would wireshark help? it can listen to broadcast packets. try setting your ip address to 10.1.1.45 (random ip) and see if wireshark can pick up your 192 network
i test it with Wireshark, IP scanner, Kismet, Ping, Nmap ...... and no success.
other ideas ?
will be much grateful
May be i didn't get your point, but if you cracked the key then simply just connect to the network and visit http://www.ip-adress.com/what_is_my_ip/
This will show IP of you AP.
he said dhcp is switched off, hence he needs an internal address not an external address, that link isnt going to do anything if he cant connect to the router in
the first instance
so the question should be
Cracked my own router which has wep encryption
DHCP is switched off
How can I find out what static address range to use, as well as the gateway??
it's been covered before
