Hi , yes I tried cracking a few Cisco routers , some routers it worked 100 percent others it looked like it had found the username and password ( bold) , I am using xhydra but the details were not correct
I am attempting to crack my router password via Hydra and I keep getting false positives. Anyone else have this issue?
My syntax looks like this :
The router is a linksys wrt54g.hydra -l admin -P /root/Documents/mil-dic.txt -o /root/Documents/results.txt -t 8 -f -v -V 192.168.1.1 http-post-form /cgi-bin/login.exe:login=admin&pws=^PASS^:loginpserr.htm

You're usingt the wrong syntax to get into the login box.
Do some more searches on the forum for other ways and give em a try.
hydra -L login -P pass 192.168.0.1 http-get /
this gets into my netgear.
