Possible to search for WIFIs in VMWare???
Hi all,
one question only: Is it possible to list all visible WLAN Routers near to my in VMWare??? Yes or no, if no: WHY, if yes: HOW?
PS: I'm very new to Linux, but a Vista Ultimate Power User:-)
Best regards from Germany

Just burned his ISO
Yes.
You do it the exact same way in VMware that you do it in any other version. That's assuming that you have a wireless adapter installed in your VMware version of BackTrack. One important point here is that only USB wireless adapters work in VMware.
There are a few different ways that you can achieve this, but I use. (I'm assuming that the reason why you want to do this is for wireless pentesting).(This is also assuming that your particular wireless adapter shows up as wlan0)
ifconfig wlan0 up
airmon-ng stop wlan0
airmon-ng start wlan0
airodump-ng wlan0
