Default Which External Antenna to Buy??

Well my first problem is solved and that was figuring out what wifi card should I get. So I ended up buying the Alfa AWUS036H usb card as I have heard so many good things about it on the forum. btw..thanks for helping me choose a card.

My next problem is now choosing an external antenna. I live in the middle of the neighborhood and I think there are several people using a router with internet.

Can someone suggest me what antenna I can buy? I was thinking of getting a 17dBi yagi antenna but I don't know if thats a good choice. My goal is to try to have at least 20 access points if possible (probably cover my whole street). Any suggestions would be greatful. Oh links too of where to buy them.

What does that have to do with anything?
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

Im not sure what you mean. I am just looking to get a wide range of access points and was wondering if you can point me to the right external antenna to get.

Translation: I want to crack my neighbors wireless networks and get free internet access.

    Buh-bye...
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

Let the OP spill his own guts, we know what it means.

Now he's gonna start back pedaling.
