how can i send files from my pc (192.168.2.2) to another pc on my network (192.168.2.3)
all i want to do is pass files from my pc to my laptop. both machines are on xp. is there a way bt3 can do this ?

Failure to do so will probably get your threads deleted or worse.
You can copy files via sneakernet, but if you just want to dragon-drop files between Unix and windows, look up winscp under XP. Also, for ssh, go get PuTTY.
If you can't figure those tools out, you really should not be using Backtrack.
If you are thinking about tools to drag stuff from XP machine to XP machine, you have absolutely no need for backtrack.
