Just wondering if its something i did or if everyone has this issue...

When i try to run john it always dumps the default help screen, won't run --test or look at any files i feed it. just always gives me that same damned output. Can anyone verify that it works? this is on my HD install where some things have been added... (ok quite a few things)

Quick workaround would be to run john from it's directory.

So something like this:

root@bt:/pentest/password/jtr# ./john

[opreat0r]

read the docs on the main john page theres all kind of cool stuff you can do -single and look at the conf it also has a sort of distrubited framework if you have a few boxes ..

I wonder if bots have anything like this like a distrtubited cracker ? that would be sweet
